How can I hire a captain?

You can plan your boat holiday with a professional captain. Captain service is offered as an extra, and captain fees are listed on each boat’s profile. Also, remember to allocate a cabin for the captain and note that the captain’s meal expenses are not included in the reservation price.

What license/documents do I need to rent a boat without a captain?

Are meal expenses included in the reservation price? Who prepares the meals?

Meal expenses are not included in the reservation price. Meals onboard consist of two main steps: shopping for ingredients and preparing meals. Shopping is the guests’ responsibility, and the preparation of meals is also organized by the guests. However, guests who do not wish to handle meal preparation can hire a hostess as an additional service. You can find hostess fees and details on the boat’s profile page or contact us.

Are fuel expenses included in the reservation fee?

Yes, fuel expenses are included in the reservation fee. However, the daily cruising time is typically limited to 3 hours. Additional fuel costs may apply for extended cruising hours.

How is the travel route determined?

You can plan your travel route with your captain. Your route is arranged within the daily 3-hour cruising time and fuel expenses. Additional fuel fees may apply for longer routes.

What is the minimum rental period?

The minimum rental period for each boat is specified in the boat s detail page calendar and may vary by season. Please contact us for different date options or special requests.

What is a transit log?

A transit log is an official permit that must be obtained before each departure of the boat.

How is the rental fee paid?

Europa Sailors offers secure payment by credit card. 50% of the reservation fee is paid at the time of booking, and the remaining 50% must be paid 1 month before the boat s check-in date.

How are additional fees paid?

Payments for extra services and additional charges are made during the boat check-in.

What is a deposit, and when is it paid?

When renting a boat, a refundable deposit is required. The deposit amount is usually blocked on your credit card. The deposit is refunded once the boat is returned without damage.

What are the check-in and check-out times for the boat?

What are the cancellation options for reservations?

You have the right to cancel free of charge within the first 2 days after making a reservation. However, the free cancellation period ends 30 days before the travel date. If the reservation is made less than 30 days before the travel date, the free cancellation option does not apply. The cancellation policy is specified individually on each boat s detail page depending on the dates selected.

How is transportation to the marina arranged?
